Room 8 Studio's dedicated art team creates UI interfaces and icons that help players navigate and accomplish goals with a focus on the player's experience of enjoyment and entertainment. In the past years, we've gathered vast experience on how to help make a game worth playing and how to deliver a perfect UI/UX and icons at scale for our partners.

Deathloop

ACTION, ARCADE, FIRST-PERSON, SHOOTER

Deathloop is a next-gen first person shooter from Arkane. It’s a game with innovative mechanics around time-loops, dying and respawning with new knowledge. Our team analyzed the in-game UI and identified UX improvements for release. All UI elements were created, and polished according to Arcane’s art direction.

Just Dance 2022

Action, Dance, Rhythm

Just Dance 2022 the ultimate dance game with 40 hot new tracks from chart-topping hits like “Don’t Go Yet” by Camila Cabello, “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” by Taylor Swift, “Happier Than Ever” by Billie Eilish, and more. Team up with your friends and rule the dance floor!

We’ve redesigned and adapted the user interface to make Just Dance 2022 just as easy to play as the first game. The UI team was also involved in introducing design elements into the game engine.

TRIVIAL PURSUIT Live! 2 is a quiz game with hundreds of new questions, adapted level of difficulties, and a diverse line-up of characters. The UI/UX team established art direction, designed all screens, and worked on UX for different platforms. Also, we developed a version for people with color blindness.

Battle Gate: The Last Frontier

ACTION, RPG, THIRD PERSON SHOOTER

Battle Gate: The Last Frontier is a great example of a futuristic, photorealistic 3rd-person military shooter which brings the player into the endless horizons of battle. The UI here is complex, scalable, and stylized as augmented reality, which emphasizes the futuristic of the project. Our aim was to create a spatial interface.

The only aim in Internal 2050 is to survive. Everything wants you to die – wildlife and other inhabitants, the environment, other survivors of this destroyed world. We were working on a composable UX, but our main goal was to create a UI with minimal color interference, but at the same time not without visual appeal.

Zealous Preacher

ACTION, SOULS-LIKE RPG

In the role of Zealous Preacher, you will plunge into a dark and mysterious world full of dangers in order to uncover all its secrets and achieve your goals. Our team chose a dark and gothic UI style while keeping it minimal. We also created a huge number of unique atmospheric icons.

Dragon Heart (TBD) — is a great RPG game which brings you into the dark fantasy world that can be destroyed at any minute and only the player can save the world.

UX DESIGN

We played a lot of different RPG games with strong narrative points and on base of that experience we tried to show the complex things easily through the UX design.

UI ART DIRECTION

In terms of style we looked on the top RPG console games and tried to be as cool as them, but in our own, in a unique way. That’s why we decided to use the dark color palette with pretty interesting bright notes in it. Also we worked a lot on the simple rectangular forms but we made it much more interesting to look with these bright color points

GAME LOGO

Here we wanted to make a logo that will show 2 name words: Dragon and Heart. So we made 2 elements (one for each word) that can be combined together into some mystique and interesting icon.

Soul of Sand

Action, Adventure, RPG

Sand of Soul action game, stylized in Arabian fashion, offers a different approach to UI creation. Typography, icons are fine-tuned to create not only a specific Eastern-Arabian look but also feel seamless and provide immersive experience for the player.

UI, icons, and other navigational elements provide additional magical feeling to the game and make it enjoyable and entertaining to play.

BACKGROUNDS

Stylized backgrounds feature landscapes that vaguely resemble ancient Eastern cities and give the player the look and feel of the atmosphere.

First-person shooter

Galaxy of Danger — is a beautiful shooter in a colorful and cool futuristic world. Explore the infinite galaxies, collect heroes, and win battles! The special accent have been made on the vistory screens since it features complex animations, and it was key to highlight them using UI.
