Please follow these guidelines:

• Check the Technical Requirements carefully twice before starting to do the Test.
• Any aspect that is omitted in Technical Requirements is left for your consideration: maximum quality level is what we expect from you.
• Track the time spent for each Test stage and note it.
• Save the preview of each finished stage.
• After finishing the Test, put all source files and previews in one archive.
• Place the archive in the cloud storage (DropBox or Google Drive with open access via link) with naming convention surname_testname.zip)
• After finishing the test assignment please state the time spent on its completion and send us all the source files for review.

Please check out the description and provided references first. Start by collecting your own references on a moodboard and design your character based on the description complying with the requirements.

Stages:

• reference collection, creating a moodboard
• x3 сharacter design sketches (rough linework that defines structure, design and anatomy) – 1st delivery (we choose the sketch option)
• x3 color versions of approved sketch from previous stage
• polishing (shading+lighting) of preferred color option by you – 2nd delivery

The former captain of the space guard ship became a pirate after he took possession of the modular time system for his spaceship, that supports travel through the centuries. He defeated many monsters on the way to his only purpose – parts of the lost Holy Grail, which give its owner the energy of immortality. Few people have seen him, the person is full of legends, some of them say that he collects trophies from every beaten creature, others say that he fought the monster and lost his limbs and some vital organ, but some rumors even told that it’s him who was born by the monster… you decide what to believe 🙂

Requirements:

• The character has its own characteristics so clothing design should reflect them, and also the lifestyle on a spaceship in outer space. The outfit style must be sci-fi or sci-fi and fantasy mix. Face shouldn’t be covered.
• Design and color solution should be concise and distinct. Especially suitable for the aesthetics of players aged from 18 to 26 (such as students). Try to avoid targeting a younger age. But it should not be designed with heavy RPG equipment.
• The design should be explicit and convenient for 3d modeling as well as promo concept art.

Visual style may vary from stylized (Overwatch, Valorant etc) to semi-realism (The Witcher, Diablo, Dishonored etc). We provided some references for stylization, detail and polishing range level.
