CASUALLY CONNECTING IN DISNEYLAND
This Casual Connect was perfectly spent at Disneyland! We met our old friends and made new connections, took part in a discussion panel and generally enjoyed being a part of the event while seeking the Next Big Thing. Oh, and the place has totally inspired to come back with the team once again!
Chase Payne, Business Development Director at Room 8 Studio
Our speaker Chase Payne, Business Development Director at Room 8 Studio, with previous experience in casual and casino games development at Zynga, Major League Fantasy Inc., Streamline Studios, and Electronic Arts, took part in the “New Generation – Blend of Casual and Casino” discussion panel. It was a pleasure to discuss what each genre offers, how the two genres can intermingle in one new game that people will love, and much more with Melissa Blau from IGaming Capital and Dan Silberberger from Huuuge Games.
It was interesting to extend our background in casino games while sharing Room 8’s insights on casual art and mobile game development.
Between sessions, attendees discussed the benefits of a dedicated development team compared to the T&M format. As Room 8 Studio has a background in both, we observe the trend for a dedicated development team format gaining momentum and preferred by well-established companies like Playtika, Night School Studio, and others. Learn how your project can benefit from efficient cooperation by asking our Business Development team.
Oh, and see you at the next Casual Connect!
