Please follow the guidelines below:

• Please make sure to carefully check the technical requirements twice before starting the test.
• Any aspects not covered in the technical requirements are left for your consideration. We expect the highest level of quality from you and the closest concept match.
• Please save a preview of each completed stage. Once the test is finished, please organize all source files and previews, and upload each folder separately.
• Place all your files in Google Drive via the link Talent Acquisition Specialist shared.
• Unless you don’t have the link to Google Drive from our Talent Acquisition Specialist, please place the archive in the cloud storage (Google Drive) with the file name format “surname_testname.zip”.
• Please track and record the time spent on each stage of the test. Upon completion, specify the time taken and submit all source files for review.

Please read the description and information provided first. Then, start by collecting your own references on the mood board and designing your character based on a description that fits the requirements. When submitting for review, please include all stages in an archive (.png + .psd formats) with the appropriate names.

Stages:

• reference collection, creating a moodboard
• x3 сharacter design sketches (rough linework that defines structure, design and anatomy) – 1st delivery (we choose the sketch option)
• x3 color versions of approved sketch from the previous stage
• polishing (shading+lighting) of preferred color option by you – 2nd delivery

Files should be in archive (.png + .psd formats) with proper naming.

Number of hours for performing the Test Assignment:

24-32 hours

A pirate sails the seas on a schooner with his crew. He can be either the captain or any other member of the pirate crew. He is good-natured, cheerful, loves to eat, and loves cheese most of all. In a fight with a giant crab, our pirate lost his leg. He collects the teeth of sharks and other marine predators he has killed. Among other pirates, there are rumors that his mother had an affair with a Kraken, and he was born as a result of this affair.

• The costume style can be either classic fantasy or contain steampunk elements of your choice.
• Our pirate may have an animal companion, but we leave that up to you.

Stylistics:

Focus on stylization used in modern animation (Pixar, Dream Works, etc.)

Try not to oversimplify the style aimed at the younger age group. Our target audience is 18-30 years old.
