Heroic, by Room 8 Group, is looking for a Layout Artist to support the creation of high-quality in-game cinematic sequences on a story-driven adventure. You will also be a key point of contact to ensure that the status of all cinematics is kept up to date and the cinematics team is consistently supplied with ready-to-work scenes and assets.
Superpowers
you have are
- Portfolio or demo reel that demonstrates a keen eye for detail and the ability to use light, shadow, and color to create a variety of tones and moods;
- Knowledge of Motion Builder and UE 5.4;
- Intermediate+ level of English proficiency, both written and spoken, for smooth communication and documentation;
- Clear, concise, and effective communication across teams;
- Adaptability when handling diverse asset types and pipelines;
- Problem-solving mindset when facing technical or creative challenges.
You’re a rockstar
if you have
- Knowledge of QA and technical animation;
- Working experience in the game industry or post-production;
- Experience playing games and knowledge of the aesthetics of cool games.
As a part of Room 8
studio, you will
- Re-purpose assets from other departments for animation and cinematic production, including characters, creatures, environments, props, vehicles, audio, and reference materials;
- Performing engine-side or DCC-to-engine tasks;
- Optimize settings for cinematic or animation playback;
- Add meta-data to animation data to enable cine-gameplay integration, expose animation events for use by design, audio, or other teams;
- Identify and communicate issues and errors within animation content and solve them as directed.
