We are looking for a skilled and experienced Project Lead Artist who specializes in stylized character creation and has a strong background in game development.
This role blends artistic mastery with project leadership. You'll be driving visual direction, mentoring a team of talented artists, and collaborating closely across departments to bring characters to life in unforgettable ways.

Superpowers
you have are
- Proven experience as a Project Lead within a Stylized 3D Character Art team in a game development environment;
- Relevant portfolio with examples of work in the corresponding direction;
- Ability to manage and review the quality of the team’s output, ensuring it meets artistic and technical standards;
- Skills in mentoring, guiding, and resolving artistic and technical challenges within the project team, as well as providing clear, constructive feedback;
- High-poly sculpt in Zbrush;
- SubD modeling in Max / Maya;
- Character topology for animation;
- Cloth simulation in Marvelous Designer;
- Strong knowledge of anatomy;
- Ability to create UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
- Texturing in Substance Painter and/or hand-painted texturing;
- Good understanding of modern pipelines and requirements for stylized character creation;
- Ability to follow and correctly interpret/improve the concept idea;
- Teamwork skills;
- Upper-Intermediate+ English level (written and spoken) for seamless collaboration and documentation;
You’re a rockstar
if you have
- Experience working in game engines (Unreal Engine 4/5, Unity, etc);
- Drawing skills;
- Good understanding of the rigging and animation process.
As a part of Room 8
studio, you will
- Lead projects in stylized 3d character direction;
- Execute quality control of the work of artists in the team;
- Assist and solve problems in the team that are related to the artistic and technical side of the project;
- Organize the work of the team within the project and specific tasks;
- Create technical specifications and guides;
- Create high-poly and low-poly models of stylized characters for games on given concepts;
- Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
- Work with stylized texturing.
